1. When did you start volunteering at the shelter?
2018, after I found a dog (Flip) in the woods and promised him that I would see him thru adoption, but then I fell in love with our shelter and all the animals there so after I found his place I stayed to help the rest and even adopted my Blondie along the way!
2. What’s your favorite part of volunteering?
The Animals, meeting them in the shelter, getting to know them, then seeing them find their home to seeing the adoption updates, fills my heart SO much.
3. If you could give one piece of advice about volunteering, what would it be?
Volunteer and keep volunteering, shelters are so full and the workers need help to get these animals out on walks, to town for adoption exposure, care rides to keep their lives in a normal setting outside of the kennel life, human touch and love to make them feel normal. These are all the things that we need to continue as a volunteer and lastly SPREAD the word everywhere you go, on social media that we have an amazing shelter with LOTS of wonderful animals that deserve homes.
4. Why are you so passionate about the work we do?

5. Any special stories you'd like to share?
Oh dear… too many to share, every animal has a story and I share and share and share everywhere I go… my friends just roll their eyes and say “there she goes” but I will say that my constant talking of the animals at our shelter has landed many in homes time after time so I keep on sharing! I am a true the mem that if I was kidnapped they would return me within the hour cause I talk about shelter animals too much.
