Born in 2019, Tyson came to us through collaboration with Oakland Animal Service. Energetic and responsive Tyson would greatly benefit and quickly respond to training. Tyson has played well with most of the dogs he has met out in our yards, though we recommend a slow introduction to new dogs in the future. Friendly and forward, Tyson does very well when meeting new people. Young, playful, and energetic, he enjoys playing tug and fetch but could use a good “drop-it” command as he doesn’t like to give up the toy after he gets it. Tyson would make a great running partner with a little loose leash training. Tyson would do best in a home with older children as he isn’t always aware of how large he is, often trying to crawl into someone’s lap. Due to the hyper-fixation volunteers have noted Tyson has towards cats, we don’t think he would fit into a home with cats or would want cats in the future.
