Part canine, part teddy bear, Lucy is as smart as she is cuddly. At ten years old, she is still a happy and rambunctious girl who loves cuddles, fetch, and exploring new trails. Lucy came to us with her housemate, Shaker, after their previous owner unfortunately passed away. When she was brought in she had a large, cancerous mass on her back leg that was quickly removed, and she has been recovering for the last few weeks while we made sure she was okay. Now that she has been deemed cancer-free (yay!) Lucy’s wish is to have a person to call her own! Despite her circumstances, Lucy has a positive and friendly spirit. She’s got all the best qualities of a senior dog: easygoing, respectful, and fully housebroken! Lucy has a thick fluffy coat and loooves to be brushed while she sits in your lap. She also knows basic commands and is food motivated. When it comes to other dogs, Lucy can be a bit picky. She likes her old housemate, Shaker, but we haven’t had the chance to introduce her to other dogs because she has been recovering. We do know that she is not a fan of cats. Lucy would love a home where she can be treasured as the only pet and treated like the queen she is!
