Would you like to meet Jake? Please complete the form below to schedule an adoption appointment.

Born in 2018, we brought Jake to us from Lake County Animal Control so he could get treatment for his heartworm. Jake has been with us since October of 2020, after completing his treatment and getting a clean bill of health from the vet, he is finally available for adoption. Months of harsh heartworm treatment and bed rest have not dampened the spirits of this 82 pound pit/lab mix. Jake is full of energy and always ready to go. He is absolutely obsessive about toys, he must have a toy in his mouth when: on a walk, going out to the yard, being pet, and when being so much as looked at. Jake could use some training to so he can learn to control himself, his drive for toys and food will be a wonderful training tool for anyone who adopts him. Jake would do well with anyone, though we are unsure how is with cats. We do not recommend him for a house with another male dog as he tries to dominate them. Call us to set an appointment to meet Jake!
