Would you like to meet Jake? Please complete the form below to schedule an adoption appointment.

With Jake you get the best of both worlds: He is full of life and always up for adventure, but he is also a huge couch potato who likes to cuddle; He will follow your lead. Jake came to us from Lake County after testing positive for heartworm back in October 2020. It took him several months of being cooped up and isolated in order to complete treatment, but we are happy to report that he has fully recovered and making up for lost play time! The one thing you need to know about Jake is his passion in life: TOYS! He loves his toys like family and likes to show them off everywhere he goes- out to the play yard, on walks, in the car, when being pet, and when so much as being looked at. Jake is a volunteer favorite because of how well he walks on leash! He is a strong boy but 99% of the time he will walk right by your side (the 1% is when he sees a squirrel he can’t resist). Jake is mostly friendly with other dogs, but his idea of a perfect playmate is someone his size who likes to wrestle. Overall, Jake is a goofy sausage boy who will make you laugh and fill your home with love (and toy stuffing).
