Cali, born in 2020, is new here and we’re still getting to know her. She’s a little nervous and skeptical about the shelter and you may spot her taking a break inside one of our cat houses to get away from the hustle and bustle. Cali came to us with her brother, Panther, due to their previous owners’ change in housing situation. She is shyer than her brother, but still wants affection if you are patient. If you approach her, she may be defensive at first, but she tends to warm up to people over time; try chatting with her or offering a wand toy for her to play with. In a gentle, patient home she should develop more confidence, though we suspect she’ll always carry a taste of that infamous tortie ‘tude. Cali appears to get along with other cats, but we don’t know how she feels about young children or dogs yet. Check back in as we learn more!
Cali is…
-Young (about a year old)
-Shy and still coming into herself
-A good candidate for a quiet home
-May not be a good fit with young, fast-moving children
-Feelings about dogs unknown
-Appears to get along with other cats
